TILLUMAKEIT · LEGAL

Terms of Service

Last updated August 5, 2026

This is a plain-language draft describing how the product actually works today. It is a starting point, not legal advice — have it reviewed by a qualified professional, and fill in the bracketed placeholders, before relying on it.

ACCEPTANCE

These Terms govern your use of the tillumakeit website and tools (“the Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it. If you use the Service on behalf of someone else, you confirm you’re authorized to accept these Terms for them.

WHAT THE SERVICE IS

tillumakeit analyzes an application document — a resume, CV, or activities list — and returns an estimated score, a diagnosis of how it reads, and rewritten suggestions. It is a self-service tool that produces automated feedback. It is a work in progress, and features may change, be added, or be removed.

ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may use it only with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms.

YOUR CONTENT

You keep all ownership of the documents and text you submit (“Your Content”). To provide the Service, you grant us a limited license to process Your Content — read, extract, send to our AI provider, and generate results from it — solely to deliver the analysis to you and operate the Service. We do not claim ownership of Your Content and do not use it to train models.

You are responsible for what you submit. By submitting Your Content, you confirm that:

  • you have the right to submit it, and
  • if it contains someone else’s personal information, you have that person’s permission — don’t upload other people’s resumes or data without their consent.

ACCEPTABLE USE

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose;
  • upload malware, corrupted files, or content designed to disrupt or exploit the Service;
  • attempt to break, overload, probe, or bypass the Service’s security or rate limits, or access areas not intended for you;
  • scrape, resell, or build a competing product from the Service, or use automated means to submit requests at scale;
  • submit another person’s personal information without their consent, or infringe anyone’s rights.

We may limit, suspend, or block access that violates these Terms or threatens the Service or other users.

RESULTS ARE ESTIMATES, NOT GUARANTEES

Scores, percentiles, diagnoses, and rewritten text are automated estimates and suggestionsgenerated by AI. They are meant to help you think about your document — they are not a prediction of, or guarantee about, any admissions decision, hiring outcome, interview, or offer. Real applications are judged by real people and systems we don’t control. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or inconsistent; review it with your own judgment before relying on it, and always confirm any factual claim a rewrite makes about you is actually true.

NOT PROFESSIONAL ADVICE

The Service does not provide legal, career, admissions, financial, or other professional advice, and using it does not create any advisor relationship. For decisions that matter, consult a qualified professional.

OUR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Service itself — the site, its design, text, scoring methodology, and software — belongs to us and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms don’t give you any right to our branding or to copy the Service. Your Content remains yours, as described above.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The Service relies on third-party providers (including our AI, hosting, storage, and email providers) to function, as described in our Privacy Policy. Their handling of data is governed by their own terms and policies, and we’re not responsible for third-party services beyond our own use of them.

DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that its output will be accurate or meet your expectations.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, tillumakeit and the people behind it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, opportunities, or outcomes, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Because the Service is currently offered free of charge, our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to the amount you paid to use it — which is zero — or, where a minimum applies by law, one hundred U.S. dollars. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.

INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to cover us for claims and costs arising from Your Content or from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

TERMINATION

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access — to anyone or to the Service as a whole — at our discretion, for example to protect the Service or comply with the law. The sections that by their nature should survive (content ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and these general terms) continue to apply after you stop using the Service.

CHANGES

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. When we do, we’ll change the “last updated” date above; continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms. We may also modify or discontinue features at any time.

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be handled in the courts located there, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
